This collaboration was good for Apple and Microsoft. Both companies have worked together and developed products from each other’s ‘platforms for ten years.

Moreover, this collaboration led to easy accessss users of Apple and Microsoft.

This collaboration helped Apple and Microsoft to keep innovating. Working with each other required, both companies, to keep on developing and create new technological ideas, for the benefit of both companies. Moreover, this collaboration led to easy access to software and usage of Microsoft and Apple devices.

ABOUT THE OUTCOME
There were several successes in this collaboration. Because,  after Steve Jobs returned as CEO to Apple, Microsoft was willing to invest in Apple. So the company could have a fresh start and look at the future instead of in the past. Also, the development of Word for the  Apple Macintosh software, which resulted in the new Microsoft platform Windows. Thirdly, Apple was willing to make their devices (such as the iPod), compatible with Windows.  Meaning that customers who owned an Apple device could also download music or use software from Microsoft.

In return, Microsoft licensed Apple so their devices could also gain access the Exchange software. This software made it possible for customers to access more than just email professionals. In general, it could be stated that this collaboration has brought many advantages, not only for both companies but also for the users of Apple and Microsoft.

The results of this collaboration were made public already. The article does not contain any other in-depth research. Therefore, this chapter was not further discussed.
