ABOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP
What means entrepreneurship to you? What makes one a good entrepreneur?

In my life, entrepreneurship means grabbing the bull by the horns. Never sit idle, or wait for money or work to come knocking on your door. I don’t think I’m experienced enough to give a valid view of what it takes to be a good entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur, have you had any ‘mentors? Or have had any persons in particular who’s advice you will always remember?
Ali for sure, and my parents.

To what do you attribute your business success?
I don’t consider myself a successful business person.

You are also responsible for hiring employees, What do you look for in an employee?
Culture is important, but a learning attitude and flexibility are probably equally important, in my view.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be? From the Bible, actually:
“Who of you wanting to build a tower does not first sit down and calculate the expense to see if he has enough to complete it?”

ABOUT SCALING UP URBYTUS
How did you get your idea or concept for the business?

Ali invited me to join the team preparing for an ICO and developing a token economy for the software.

What achievements are you most proud of? And what are the main challenges when growing?
Achievement: The way the team took shape and tackled challenges last year… Ali, Claudia, Zagros and many others.
Main challenge: Looking for investment to scale is tough and can distract you from your core business.

ABOUT LIFE
What quote or things inspire and/or motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?

Family, core values. Definitely not money.

What’s the best music you have ever listened to?
Ufffff…. Tough one to answer… Nick Drake’s Hazey Jane II, the Gymnopedies by Erik Satie and Desafinado by Joao Gilberto. Artist-wise, The Smiths, Radiohead and Belle and Sebastian keep popping up in my playlists.

What are you doing in your spare time and weekends?
I try to nourish spiritually and spend time with family and friends. I’m a pretty homely guy, but we love travelling to see nature, for sure.
