BOOK OF THE MONTH

About the Book

“In this book I try to express that fear in leadership refers to emotional fears, which have more to do with a defensive attitude towards problems and adversity, rather than seeing opportunities and solutions to the team. Fear in leadership has to do with change and becoming visible. How do the changes influence us? For many people the changes imply challenges, for others loss of control. We believe that human beings live and experience changes throughout their lives, and each change generates a certain fear or excitement to get out of the comfort zone. It forces us to put into action our capacity to adapt to the environment. Uncertainty causes a certain fear until we adapt again to the new situation. In leadership we talk about creativity, risk and tolerance to frustration, so the leader must be prepared to face challenges and not to avoid them, must look at the problem head on and look for solutions, and putting into action our capacities and not our fears, with the help of our emotional and cognitive intelligence skills of course. The human being must make decisions by putting emotions and thoughts on the surface, even if them appear in the opposite way.”

We will add here the comments and our review during this month of May.
